Clayton High School Makes Newsweek’s Best High Schools in America List

Clayton High School Ranked Highest Missouri High School in Newsweek’s Annual List of Best High Schools

Congratulations to Clayton High School for ranking #89 out of 500 high schools named as the best in the country according to Newsweek’s annual list which was published today. The other local high schools that also made the list were: St. Louis Public School District’s Metro Academic & Classical High School at #93; Ladue Horton Watkins at #103; and Rockwood Summit at #290.

Newsweek stated that it had revamped its methodology this year to ” more fully reflect a school’s success turning out college-ready (and life-ready) students.”   This year’s scores are made up of six components, including graduation rate and college matriculation rate.  Their rankings only cover high schools.

In a news release issued by Clayton High School Principal Louise Losos said the school’s “high ranking is a tribute to the hard work of our students and the dedication of our entire staff.”
