Ballwin, in our opinion, has weathered the latest real estate turmoil relatively well. In October of 2010 the median price was $243,849 as compared with the latest statistics we have as of the end of September 2011 where the median price was at $236,188 which is about a 3.14% drop in price.

Current conditions (see the chart above) show inventory still at seasonal highs while median prices have dropped to levels that were first present at the beginning of the spring ($236,665). Lots of inventory and prices at before the buying rush spring prices where as you can see prices increase pretty rapidly.

Bottom Line: There are some great opportunities in the Ballwin area. Ballwin has received favorable news from the national media recently when Money Magazine ranked it as one of the 100 Best Places to Live in the nation. The area is also supported by the award winning Rockwood School District and Parkway School District both of which have received State and National attention.
