11 St. Louis Schools Listed in U.S. News and World Report Best High School Rankings

The statewide annual report found 11 of the top 20 Missouri High Schools in the St. Louis area. The U.S. News and World Report Best High School Rankings online only report stated;

“With today’s launch, U.S. News has published detailed information on more than 21,150 public high schools, including school-specific data on enrollment, student ethnicity, location, school type and results of state assessments, as well as Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate tests. Using some of these data and a comprehensive methodology, many of the schools were given a College Readiness Index score, with the top-scoring 6,500-plus schools receiving a gold, silver or bronze medal – and in the case of gold and silver schools, a national numerical ranking.”

Best High Schools in Missouri

In the 2015 U.S. News Best High Schools rankings, Missouri is home to three schools awarded gold medals, 22 with silver medals and 157 with bronze medals. Missouri’s top-ranked school is Lincoln College Preparatory Academy, which is part of the Kansas City 33 School District.

Clayton High School and Kirkwood High School Gold Medal Winners

Special recognition and honors to Clayton High School and Kirkwood High School for receiving the Gold Medal Award. According to the methodology used, “Schools with the highest unrounded College Readiness Index values were numerically ranked from No. 1 to No. 500 and were the gold medal winners.”
