The 25 St. Louis Neighborhoods Reporting the Biggest Drop in Crime

Recently the St. Louis Post Dispatch reported on the top 25 St. Louis neighborhoods who were documenting significant reductions in reported crimes.  This is great news! So many times the national media has only focused on the negative side of things when it comes to crime reporting in St. Louis.  This is positive news.
Below is a list of the neighborhoods and links to crime reporting data for each neighborhood. The total reported decrease in crime is compared to the same six-month period last year.

  1. Ellendale – Total reported crime down 45.28%
  2. Forest Park Southeast – Down 36.11%
  3. Clifton Heights – Down 34.33%
  4. Hi-Pointe – Down 33.33
  5. Soulard – Down 26.18%
  6. Holly Hills – Down 23.86%
  7. Old North St. Louis -Down 21.74%
  8. Benton Park – Down 21.48%
  9. Gravois Park – Down 21.2%
  10. Midtown – Down 19.75%
  11. Boulevard Heights – Down 19.23%
  12. North Pointe – Down 18.85%
  13. Cheltenham – Down 18.37%
  14. Hamilton Heights – Down 18.03%
  15. Kingshighway East -Down 17.58%
  16. Lindenwood Park – Down 15.54
  17. South Hampton – Down 13.75%
  18. Princeton Heights – Down 11.93%
  19. The Gate District – Down 11.81%
  20. Mount Pleasant – Down 11.68%
  21. Wells Goodfellow -Down 11.62%
