St. Louis Cardinals MVP David Freese Brings National Focus On Wildwood MO
David Freese, from Wildwood Missouri, captured the hearts of millions of baseball fans with his stellar performance throughout the 2011 World Series. The New York Times headline read “Freese Is Most Valuable and Most Improbable.” After 3 years of injuries, Freese rebounded and led the Cardinals to their 11th championship.
MVP David Freese Grew Up and Lives in Wildwood
Freese is a hometown hero who was raised in Wildwood which is about 30 miles west of St. Louis. He graduated from Lafayette High School and then enrolled in the University of Missouri before being drafted by San Diego and joining the Cardinals in 2007.
Wildwood Missouri in the News Again
Wildwood is no stranger to the national media. Money Magazine has mentioned it in its’ annual Best Places to Live article. Lafayette High School was ranked highest in the state and nation recently. We personally think Wildwood is a MVP winner.
